Paris Hilton Goes Old Hollywood

Paris Hilton abandoned her customary wild style at a court hearing in Las Vegas on Monday. The socialite pled guilty to charges of drug possession while wearing a conservative satin wrap-dress, and left the courthouse with a year of probation - a slap on the wrist.

Hilton's transformation capitalized on the Mad Men-induced fever for feminine silhouettes and retro styling. The nipped waist and peekaboo cleavage of her black-and-cream dress were neutralized by a knee-length skirt hem. The heiress put away her straightening iron, opting instead for a graceful half-up/half-down coif, with loose waves cascading down her back. Her Onassis sunglasses and pale pink lips completed the old Hollywood look.

The socialite's had some practice dressing up for judges, and Monday's look was a step up from the less-polished black-and-white dress and swept-up hair she wore to a 2009 hearing in Miami. Since Hilton will likely make an appearance at some other courthouse at a future date, we'll be looking forward to her glammed-up tribunal attire.
